Samuel Lay is a native of Norcross, Georgia.  He graduated from Norcross High School with the class of 2007 and went on to attend Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service with the class of 2014.  Samuel has been employed with Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory since February of 2007.  He is an attending member of Buckhead Church in Atlanta.  Samuel oversees the day to day operations at the Peachtree Corners & Buford location.  Starting in the funeral business at an early age, despite what others thought, he felt a call to help people in a time of need.  His love to help the families of this community is his driving force.  In his spare time he enjoys boating, traveling with friends, going to the beach and trying out new restaurants.

Buddy has been with Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory for 12 years.  Buddy is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia and is licensed for pre-need cemetery sales with the Georgia State Board of Cemeterians.  He is married to his wife, Tammi and has lived in Gwinnett County for over 35 years. Buddy enjoys spending his free time with his kids and family.

Lori is the Office Manager at Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory.  She ensures the daily operations of the administration department run smoothly.  Since she joined the company in 2013, she maintains the accounting functions as well as all administrative duties that are necessary to serve all of our families.  Lori has worked in many aspects of facilities operations in the real estate and public service industries. She has been a resident of Georgia for many years and currently resides in Duluth with her daughter and son. Working with the bereaved has always been a calling for her. Lori spends her free time enjoying tennis, leading a small group at her church and enjoys long walks and a good book.

Tony recently joined Crowell Brothers, bringing with him over 25 years of funeral care experience.  A longtime Georgia resident, he studied business at Clayton State College before beginning his funeral career.  He is certified by the National Funeral Directors Association as a Pre-Need Consultant (CPC), as well as being a licensed Life Insurance Agent with the state of Georgia.  An expert in business matters, he conducts seminars with veterans, to help them receive benefits to which they're entitled, as well as leading workshops for social workers and Certified Nursing Assistants.  Making his home in Braselton, GA, Tony lives with his wife and two children.

Courtney Crowell joined Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory in 2018 and is a third generation Crowell.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from The University of Alabama.  Courtney started her career in Economic Development in Florida and has been working in sales for the past ten years.  She has worked for Enterprise Rent a Car, Saia Ltl freight, New York Life and is a licensed insurance agent.  She recently moved back to Georgia from Colorado where she worked for Heska in the veterinary industry.  All of her previous work experience has led her back home where she will be working with families as Director of Aftercare Services.  She is grateful for this opportunity to serve families during their time of loss and to continue serving our families following the service of your loved one.   She enjoys music, Alabama football and hiking with her dog.

Carroll Curry joined the Crowell Brothers Funeral Home and Crematory in 2018 as a pre-need counselor.  Carroll enjoys helping families plan their final wishes.  He studied music education at Texas Tech University and holds a BA from Thomas Edison State University.  Carroll is a licensed life insurance agent in Georgia and was formerly licensed in securities.  He spent over forty years in the insurance industry.  Carroll is a native Texan and has resided in Suwanee with his wife Anita since 1992.  Carroll and Anita have two married children and two granddaughters, all who live locally.  He is a member of the Duluth First United Methodist Church where he teaches an adult Sunday School class.  He enjoys his family, college and pro football, major league baseball and music.

Chris joined Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory in 2014.  He is a 2015 Mu Sigma Alpha  graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.  He was also the recipient of the distinguished Bill Pierce and Daniel E. Buchanan awards.  He is a member of Pi Sigma Eta National Mortician's Fraternity where he served as Master Artist. Chris has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2016, and is also a Certified Crematory Operator through the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA).  Chis is a living kidney donor and is an advocate for the National Kidney Foundation, as well as a mentor for the National Transplant Foundation.  Chris and his wife, Lisa, reside in Lawrenceville with their three cats.  He is a passionate English football supporter who enjoys music and writing poetry.

Waring joined the staff of Crowell Brothers in 2011.  Waring is a 1997 honor graduate of Gupton - Jones College of Funeral Service and became a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in 1998. He earned his CFSP certification in 2005 and became a certified crematory operator in 2013.   Waring holds memberships with the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, The Academy of Graduate Embalmers, the National Funeral Directors Association and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.  Waring is a former board member of the River Oak Swim and Racquet Club where he served as Treasurer for 14 years.  Waring enjoys cooking and flying in his spare time.

Max has worked for Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory for over 10 years.  Max attended North East Louisiana University, spent 10 years in the United States Army and a 1996 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.  He is also been a Notary for Gwinnett County for 22 years.  Max resides in Duluth and is married to his wife, Marliss Anglin Aldridge. They have one son, Cayce McDonald Aldridge.

After years of searching for the right career to help others, he found his love for caring for families with us here at Crowell Brothers, and is currently apprenticing to become a funeral director. Bradley has been married to his lovely wife Molly for two years.

Stacy was born and raised in Metter, Georgia.  After graduation, he attended the University of Georgia where he completed a Business degree from the Terry College of Business and met his wife of 37 years.  They later added a son to their family who is now 28.  Stacy began his career by working in various positions at Graybar Electric Company for 35 years until he retired in 2016. He is a resident of Johns Creek where he attends St. Brigid's Catholic church.  When not working, Stacy enjoys UGA tailgates, golf and travel.

Norman Terry Funeral Home Assistant

Norman is from Bloomington, Indiana and graduated high school in 1973 and went on and attended Indiana University from 1973 to 1975.  He worked for RF Barnes Enterprises for 28 years as a manager, cook and waiter.  He worked as a Young Life leader in Indiana and Georgia as well as a leader for Vacation Bible School in Minnesota.  Norman currently volunteers as a youth counselor at Duluth United Methodist Church.  He has worked for Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory for the past two years.  He enjoys going to various workshops and seminars related to working with the youth in different situations.

Debbie joined Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory in 2015.  She retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools after 25+ years as a Dispatcher in the Building Maintenance Department.  Debbie resides in Lawrenceville and has two adult children and four grandchildren.  She enjoys all sports and especially attending her grandchildren's  sports activities.  She is a member of Sunrise Baptist church and loves sharing God's word with her grandchildren.

Gary is from Marietta, Georgia and is currently living in Brookhaven, Georgia in Northeast Atlanta.  Gary is serving as Pastor of University Baptist church in Brookhaven now for the last 14 years.  His wife is Linda and they have been married for 37 years.  They have four children, three of them married.  They also have six precious grandchildren, three girls and three boys.  Gary has been assisting Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory since 2015 and loves the opportunity to serve others.  One thing Gary enjoys doing on his off days is spending time with his grandchildren, reading and if up to it, playing golf.

Carl has been associated with Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory since 2015.  He was active in the floral business for a good many decades .  After owning a floral shop and working in floral organizations and clubs he began traveling to China for a floral importer developing products of artificial trees and plants.  His hobbies and interests are in music, theater and participating in amateur theater.  He always enjoys fellowship with other people and trying to be helpful to all.
